My Heart Story

I believe we should never underestimate the knowledge and intelligence of our hearts.

For many years, I went through life doing what I felt I should be doing and being. I sought validation and love from others which led me to make choices I am not proud of and certainly didn’t represent who I truly am.

Once I stopped, and allowed myself space to try to reflect on who I really was, I noticed hearts appearing in front of me. When I was open to knowing and accepting myself, I was getting confirmation that I was on the right track. The hearts made me feel as if something, somewhere, was encouraging me and confirming my thoughts.

This experience led to me to my new passion and purpose — following my heart and realizing that it’s the simple things in life that bring me my greatest joys. Spending time in nature, especially along beaches and shorelines, where I am able to feel free and think clearly, I learned I love to collect heart-shaped rocks and driftwood.

As my collection grew, I realized that my purpose was to share them with others, putting out heart pouches for others to find and creating hearts made from elements in nature.

I grow with every heart that brings some joy and clarity to others. It might not change someone’s life indefinitely, but it will touch them at least momentarily. Those moments can open the most powerful intrinsic element of being human. Loving and sharing our hearts helps us to remember who we are and that every heart is connected in ways we might not be aware of.

Many of us take a long and hard route in life trying to find what is really important to us.  When we trust and listen to our own inner knowledge, we realize the answers rest in our unique, beautiful hearts.
